Opportunities for faith development:
Young Adventurers is a group designed for 6th and 7th graders. We gather to explore Biblical stories, experience community,
and traverse life’s experiences together. We meet each Sunday during the 11:00 worship and the first Friday of each month from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
Important Dates:
Dec. 4-5 - Young Adventurers’ Overnight
Confirmation, which calls for a two-year commitment, is an engaging journey that
leads to the Initiation to Adulthood. Weekly programming invites Confirmands to engage in what it
means to be a Christian, a church member, and a citizen of the world.

March 6-11 - Initiates travel to the Bay Area
April 30-May 1 - Initiate Retreat
June 4 - Statements of Faith Dinner
June 6 - Rite of Initiation
Saturdays at St. E’s is a once a month opportunity to engage in ministry for
and with the people at St. Elizabeth’s Homeless Shelter. Every second Saturday of the month the
Confirmation youth gather at United at 9:45 a.m. and go to St. Elizabeth’s Shelter to clean the kitchen,
prepare food, or decorate for the Holidays.

United High School Group meets every Sunday evening (6-7:30pm) at Untied Church of Santa Fe.
Our activities range from a meal at a local restaurant, volunteering at the Overflow Shelter, an afternoon hike,
to discussions about relevant topics.

The Youth “Que?” Choir (6th-12th Graders) meets every Wednesday (6:00-6:30 p.m. dinner and 6:30-7:30 p.m. rehearsal) and sings about once a month in Worship. Directed by Abby Railsback. See the Music Page for more details.
The Youth Mission Trip is a yearly opportunity to travel and participate in service, justice, and discipleship.

In September of 2009, Rev. Brandon Johnson began his ministry with United Church of Santa Fe as the
Associate Minister for Youth and Discipleship. He came to Santa Fe as a recent graduate of
Yale Divinity School with an interest in Youth, Outreach, and Justice Ministries.
During his undergraduate and graduate work Brandon worked with confirmation and high school students,
local grassroots movements, and international ecumenical organizations.
