Q: Do your kids know more about Bart Simpson or Sponge Bob Squarepants than Moses or Jesus?
THEN, BRING YOUR CHILDREN TO A PLACE WITH MANY OPPORTUNITIES FOR SPIRITUAL GROWTH.
Opportunities for our children :
The Nurture Center, staffed by Gerry Bushrow, is designed for infants and toddlers. Special care is given to providing a safe, yet stimulating environment filled with educational toys and activities. We invite all young parents to visit the center. Gerry is also available for child care for most church activities. Please call the church to reserve a space for any activity other than Sunday mornings.
Children’s Church during the 11:00 a.m. service, September through May features a theme “sermon,” music, communion and dramatization of Bible stories. During the summer, the outdoor Creative Awareness Center provides children an educational opportunity to experience God in the beauty of this land.
Also during the school year, S-A-C-K TIME, Sacred Arts for Children, is held during the 9:45 Adult Forum Hour.
Throughout the year, seasonal activities allow children to celebrate Christian holidays with joy. Some of these periodic activities are: Christmas Pageant, Easter Carnival, Game Nights, Christmas with St. Nicholas, various drama presentations, and the Children’s Lenten Series.
Children in First Grade and later in Fourth Grade are presented Bibles geared to their reading level. They sometimes are invited to take a break from their parents at Parents Night Out on Friday evenings. This partial list should give you an idea of the value we place on our kids.
“Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them,
for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”
Matthew 19:14.
